Is it written this way or it need a fix?

Suppose i visit - https://forumpromotion.net/forum/forums/website-domain-marketplace.118/ and i click Shopping Square in the bread crumb (sorry if it is a wrong term)

Forums -> Shopping Square -> Marketplace

Should it not take me to the Shopping Square category page? It redirects me to the index page. I remember it taking me to the category i click in the link rather to the main page.

That is the default behavior. If you click on the category name, it takes you directly to the category on the forum index page. Virtually all forum softwares that have been around for years, have that as the default feature.

When you click on Shopping Square, it may take you back to the index, but it adds /#shopping-square.39 to end of the URL, which causes your mouse to automatically be scrolled down to this particular category. That's how XenForo rolls.

FP had the kind of set up you are referring to when we were on phpBB, so that may be what you are thinking of.
