AN nice home that's worth more then $800,000 that's brand new with six bedrooms two bathrooms and a swimming pool. You name it.

What would you do and how would you spend your life?

Damn. That's a really cheap house. I would bask in it. Definitely swim in the pool often. Make an office, for sure. Maybe a media room.

Doesn't matter. I'm from Hawaii and the saying goes, "You need to pay to live in paradise." It's true. I live in a million dollar home but it definitely isn't what people would imagine it to be. And I don't even have a pool! I'll take that $800k house any day. Repairs and all.

$800,000 for a 6 bedroom house? Yes, please. You probably couldn't get a garden shed for that price in London :tearsofjoy:

Like everyone else said, in 800K isn't that much for all of that. Around here, there are 2MIL homes that may not even have that much space.

I don't know what I would do with 6 rooms...I would have a very large home office and a guest room, but that's about it. That's a lot of furniture to buy...

You guys are talking about an $800,000 house being cheap while I'm looking at $200,000 houses that I can't buy in awe. :p

Around here, it's pretty typical for six bedroom houses to go for around $200,000.

If I'm the only one living there, then what's the point? Means that I have to pay the bedroom tax five times more o_O

In my area, you can get a 6 bedroom house with a pool for under $500,000. Unless I am buying a new house, I don't intend on spending over $300,000. I am currently renting a studio so I am not bothered by smaller spaces.
