Aged people are made tourist attraction

There is a town in Guangxi, China where the primary tourist attraction are the aged people who claim to be centenarians. The aged people are displayed like a product in a store where tourists can take their selfie. Afterwards, the aged person is given money. One documentarist said that those supposed to be centenarians have fake ages to mean they are just being used by their family to earn money. Isn't it pathetic for the aged person to be used like that?
