Stuck for ideas? Need some money from your sites? Here's a few not so common ways.
T-Shirts or Hoodies
For Semi Established- Established Communities/Websites
If you own a reasonably large website starting from around the current size of this forum (AdminForums.org) then selling shirts may be a good idea. Now you don't want to make people walking, talking adverts because no one will want it. Make it funny, snazzy or give it a cool logo/design. It's fine to include a bit of advertisement. For example on the back it could say: AdminForums.org but make sure it's something people will want to buy.
Pre Release Sign Ups
For unreleased websites. Epically for people with previously successful websites.
If your site benefits people in some way. Paid to click website, freebie website, that kind of thing then you should consider selling pre release sign ups which allows people to get early access to the website for a small fee. Now, if your website has a strong idea that is beneficial for it's members then with the correct advertising you should be able to make a few $$$ from it.
Phone/Laptop Covers
For technology based websites.
If you make a phone/laptop cover with a fantastic design then having a small line of text with your site's web link is not going to put them off. It's another one of those revenue earners and promotional tool. I say for technology based websites but it could potentially be used for any site. If it's about animals then you could make an animal design cover so it's a great little earner for you.
I'll hopefully be adding to this list in the future.
