Although they are called America, this band originated in England in the 1970s formed by Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek and Gerry Beckley but after sometime was joined by Willie Leacox, Richard Campbell and Michael Woods. Their most popular song Horse With No Name that stayed in the charts for a long time. Their music is called folk rock as differentiated from plain rock. Some of their other hits were Ventura Highway and Inspector Mills.

I think them, Neil Young, Lynard Skynard. and Crosby Still and Nash defined that sound. Anyway, for some reason, Young was called the Godfather of Grunge, but could some enlighten me why?
