I am working on my newest forum, RichForum.net . It's about making money online. It's only about 90% complete. I still need to add some content, contest info, points mod, etc. But the forum layout is mostly done, I would just like some feedback about the topics I have now, the look of the forum. I am trying to open the forum in the next few days. So I would really like some suggestions. What would make you join or not join my forum? etc. Thanks.

Ok, just a general piece of advice, fill up your forum before you officially open it. 🙂

Yea I know It's not officially opened yet. Just turned the forum on to show you guys what I've done so far.

Is this your specialty or profession?
If so then it would be easy to fill it up with content and topics.
If you dont know what you are doing then maybe open a different forum. 😛

Personally, I feel that there are way too many forums. You may think that its easier for new members, but in actual fact, it will be more confusing. If you don't want to remove any, I'd say try to group them even more.

It seems to be organised pretty well so far, but like dotDavid said, there may be too much stuff on the index.

You could possibly make some of them subforums, or merely have a 'universal' forum for those categories (just the the one forum for the category), then split them up when it gets some activity.

Otherwise, you just need to get a few topics going and you should be good to go.
