Flying is a good means to get from point A to point B, and I don't hate it but if I don't have to take the plane, I won't do it either.
Seeing I usually fly long distance/trans-atlantic (and have few viable options because of it), the flight is usually long. I spend a lot of time in a very small, cramped place. I can't sleep properly, my back starts to hurt because I can't sit properly. I can't take a decent walk to get the cramps and aches out of my body. If I have a transfer, that generally also means going through customs again. Going through the same questions I already answered on my visa application, when I crossed border control before I boarded the flight and then again on the thingy I have to fill in on the plane. If I'm unlucky I also have to check in my bags again.
There are always those annoying flyers, or the crying baby (note, I don't hate the baby, I understand why it's crying. Doesn't mean I have to like it)
So yeah ... if I don't have too, I won't take the plane.
