Anyone else have a problem with their basketball shoes cutting up the back of their heels? I do. I've tried several remedies, and nothing can seem to get it to stop. I always wear double socks, have tried bandaging and taping the back of my heels, but it doesn't stop it. The tape always slips down and the heels still get cut. The only thing I've ever gotten to work is using duct tape, but that eventually just irritates the skin. I tried double socking my feet with duct tape over the sock and that doesn't work very well either. Anyone have any remedies or suggestions that work?

Well I have that problem only when the shoe is new :S

profx: It seems like the best remedy, but I don't really want to buy basketball shoes right now seeing as money is tight.

Shole: These shoes are at least four to five years old, so it couldn't be because they are new.

Agent24: I'm not sure what their official name would be, but they're Nike Basketball Shoes and they're Hightops. I also wear ankle braces and it happens whether I wear the braces or not.

If you wear an ankle brace, it shouldn't hurt. Try using low tops and ones that have a lot of padding around the ankle like some of the Jordans. I have a few pairs of them and they are great.

I've worn Nike Hightop Basketball ball shoes for years and never had any problems with my feet..

A few days ago, I bought a basketball shoe. It was crazy fast model. I also fell in this problem at first. But now, I am habituated with this and using it very easily.
