Best places to advertise general gaming forums?

I started a general gaming forum less than a week ago, and so far I have six members, which I think is really good. Where are some good places that I should go to to bring more traffic to my forum, and it even more active?

Just post the link in ur sig and get other members or friends that visit other forums to do the same and that should get you more noticed.

I say stick to promotion forums or go onto other gaming forums and become active there and pull some people over with links in your sig.
