What are some of the best FREE ways to get youtube followers?

I know it is important to have 1. Good Content, 2. Regular Videos, 3. Engage with your followers...but how else can you gain regular subscribers? Opinions people? 🙂

Making videos with other YouTube video creators could be the best way of getting more subscribers since I and many others subscribe to new video makers after learning about them from other YouTube video they starred in from channels which I am already subscribe to.

Make good videos, and promote them on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, blogs, forums and your own websites can also be another way to get viewers since a lot of the views on YouTube are from websites like blogs where videos are embedded on. It is usually more easy for a video to get on the front page of a blog or forum compared to the front page of YouTube, or a top search result on YouTube, Google, and other search engines which index video.

You mean the legit way or the legally questionable way?

For the former, upload interesting, unique videos that people find entertaining and promote the hell out of them.

For the latter, post a bunch of things like music, film clips, TV episodes, etc and profit.

Or just watch this video, it explains it in the most cynical way possible:

The YouTube Creator's Playbook has most of the information you need to get viewers on YouTube : http://www.youtube.com/yt/playbook/index.html

PDF of YouTube Creator's Playbook : http://www.youtube.com/yt/playbook/medi ... aybook.pdf

Video Creators can also join a network like Fullscreen, Revision3, Maker Studio, and Machinama to more quickly get views since Networks have a large following on their social networking sites, and YouTube, so if you make good videos, your network would promote your video on their site and social networking profiles with thousands to millions of real followers in exchange for 30% of your ad revenue while you take 70% of the revenue from the YouTube partnership.

Thats interesting actually cheers. I read both of them 🙂

Well, I can tell you if you subscribe to me, I'll subscribe back. 🙂 That's one way!

I know of a few ways.. but they are kind of frowned upon and I don't think are able to be discussed here.. =/
