Like this concept Alexander - though, have you considered MailChimp or SendInBlue for the newsletters to make them look a little bit better?

Yes, it's something that my developer and I are working on. We are currently on shared hosting, with a maximum limit of 200 emails per day, which, as the forum grows, the allowance is needed to be bigger to avoid hitting capacity.

MailChimp and SendInBlue don't use SMTP to send, they use the PhpMailer function which bypasses your hosting limitations email wise 🙂

I use SendGrid It's good for a low price and for free it offers 100 emails a day. Yeah it's only 100 but it's a good starting point.
