Yes, I seen websites with the Digg, Twitter, Reddit, Google Buzz, Tweetmeme, Facebook like, Stumbleupon, and a host of many other social bookmarking plug-ins.

Having too many social bookmarking plug-in may make a website load kind of slow if the plug-ins uses images links like the Digg button, so having a lot of social bookmarking buttons on a forum can make the forum load a little slower.

I sometimes feel that when a forum or website has too many social bookmarking plug-ins for digg, stumbleupon, reddit, etc it may also give an impression that you care more about readers who social bookmark your site vs the casual reader , or you're desperate for social bookmarks.

I think that sometimes it can look a bit...grabbey toward us from a users point of view but it really depends. If there are huge twitter, digg it, ect. than I would think that they cared about me spreading it around more than myself reading it and would get a bit turned away.

I like those tiny "share buttons" which display a list of social bookmarking image links when the users hover their mouse over the "share button" or tiny size images of twitter, facebook, and other image links.

I think if the image links to digg, facebook, and Tweetmeme are too big like 40x40 pixels then it feels like the forum cares more about user sharing your content then users reading content, comments, and some of the bigger buttons don't look very attractive like filling a website full of ads.
