Can you change your youtube display name?

Hi. I would like to know, is it possible to change my youtube display name and if so, how do I do it?

I've been trying to find something in the settings but I've not had any luck finding it.

I don't think so. You can connect it with a Google account and use that name, but that's just annoying to deal with.

My recommendation? Start another channel. Accounts are free after all.

You can change it, I got this annoying pop-up on Youtube every time I logged in saying I could change it.

I think you need to use your Google Plus account to change your display name, but you probably can't change your channel's path name like YouTube.com/username .

Yeah, I've seen channels with new names but still the old URL path.

The change is done via Google+. It will affect all Google products that you use.

no.. you can't change your username of youtube if once created

The display name change can be made via Google+ and it'll affect all Google products that you're using, but there is no way that you can change your YouTube username URL if you have a legacy YouTube account. I'm not sure about the newer channels though.

You're correct, once you made the YouTube channel name you can never change it again. But you can change your display name through Google.
