Can't log in to my Google Drive account

Our desktop has a Google Drive synched with the office computer of my husband. When our home desktop's hard drve crashed, it was replaced by an old OS. It's running good except that we cannot log in to Goggle Drive. However, the files in the cloud can be accessed but cannot be changed nor added. In other words, it seems like Google Drive database is read only.

there is always an option to reset your account passwords
 
Sounds like it's time for you two to update the OS and web browser on the computer. Then things will work again for you 🙂
