Demo Account for reviewer (Supplied by requester): None. There's only a intensedebate [which allows you to log in as a twitter/OpenID user.] I considered turning on facebook, but I wanted to fend off haters.
Additional Notes: As you can see, the traffic has been tremendous. But I need a bigger visitor base. I need to push it higher than 50/100 views a day. My best article would have to be an Call of Duty: Black Ops article that garnered me 500 views in just a few days. No joke. What makes that number so surprising to me, is that its not even a COD website.

Also, yes, I know that there are broken links on site's frontpage - I do not know how to implement it, the designer of the theme isn't clear on how to do it.

Appearance and style - (Out of 20)

The first thing I noticed when I saw your blog was the color scheme, mainly because it was simple and monotone, and that's not usually attractive to guests or new members. The whole site is shades of white and gray, with some blue and orange found throughout. I believe if done right, adding more orange and blue in a coordinated color pattern would bring the blog a lot livelier and more exciting look, and be more visually impacting.

There's a lot of potential in your background, there is, it's simply not being used, there's so much empty space there that can be used for Xbox 360 logos, blog emblems, news relevant promotionals, or at the least, aesthetically pleasing patterns.

There's something there that I didn't see much of that could really improve how your site looks and feels. There aren't any pictures there except for the one found in your PSN card. If you added interesting images next to your articles they could be infinitely more inviting and fascinating, and draw the reader to actually want to find out what the article is about.

Blog layout and categorization - (Out of 20)

The layout here leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of repeating elements in the blog, for example, the "CarlosX360 Network", it's at the top and the bottom of the page. There's also several links to "About CarlosX360", more still about E3, not to mention many of the links at the top of the page redirect to your forums while others redirect to different broken sites.

The tables at the bottom, recent, popular, and popular today are somewhat useful but they could be compressed to more readily understood information, because, again, even there it's repeating itself, recent shows several different titles about Mega Man, popular, different articles for Black Ops or MW2, and popular today was empty. There was something there that was overall a minor blight, but it really caught my attention for something so small, this should be fixed.

My suggestion for improving the layouts on your blog are compressing your data into as few links as possible, the simplicity in information is really valuable to guests, as they won't be struggling to figure out where to go.

esnt3o.webp Commenting activity and other interactions - (Out of 20)

There's very little to speak of in this area, seeing as both the forums and blogs have very few comments and/or replies. However, the little I have seen is nothing short of impressive, the grammar, the structure, and the interactions have all been positive and contributing, and I don't see much wrong with it, really, aside from the low amount of interactions to speak of.

2nrlyjk.webp Quality and frequency of posts - (Out of 20)

Again, it's hard to speak at length about this sort of criteria, the quality is decent and well enough done, the frequency of posts however, is debatable. The frequency of posts of others would be poor, there were roughly half a dozen posts by other members throughout the site. However, the posting frequency of the creator is great, hundreds upon hundreds of posts makes for something to read at the site, I admire the effort.

Spelling/Grammar - (Out of 20)

The spelling and grammar is actually something to speak of. All the posts made have almost always shown to been lengthy, well thought out theories, hypothesis, and narrative on a variety of news articles, and I couldn't find hardly any errs in communication there, that being the case, I'll leave it at that, I commend the admin on his hard work writing these.

(Scored 19/20)

Total Score - (74 Out of 100)

Final remarks: There's a lot of potential that could make this a better site than it is now.

What was most liked about the blog:

The overall structure and design, it was made to do what it's being used for now, heavy amounts of articles and news relevant subjects.

delete.png
What was disliked most about the blog:

The bland repetitiveness found almost everywhere, and the unused potential of what could be an outstanding site.

How could I get you (the reviewer) to read my blog?

If you put more effort towards decorating and organizing the site's content more, it'd be much more appealing to read, especially if the said decorations are relevant to the material, not solid colors or random patterns. Condensing the headlines and featured articles would be advised as well.

Thanks for the response. If I may, I would like to respond to parts of your review:

I debated with myself over the design of the site. This is the second ireitation of the blog design. The current theme has gone through many redesigns, I modified almost every section of the theme. I've gotten a few responses about the design; some people called it 'beautiful.' I will keep the color schemes.
There's a lot of potential in your background, there is, it's simply not being used, there's so much empty space there that can be used for Xbox 360 logos, blog emblems, news relevant promotionals, or at the least, aesthetically pleasing patterns.
I will try and toy with the background to add an image. This has been noted, and I am going to look into it.

The reason why I stayed away from images is because I wanted professional content. I wanted to exhibit that, and then show quality. I see too many blogs that use images as a joke. My direct competitor is Kombo.com and almost every image has these stupid, retarded NeoGAF knockoffs. Or shall I say, Kotaku knockoffs. I've substituted videos in exchange for using images.
The layout here leaves a lot to be desired. There are a lot of repeating elements in the blog, for example, the "CarlosX360 Network", it's at the top and the bottom of the page. Broken sites? There are only two at this point. The other sites are with splash pages to "wine taste" the market. Secondly, my company's objective is to be a global gaming network. I've put the foundations for the future by implementing network links/company links. The E3 articles keep coming up on the bottom thanks to SE's slurping 'em. I will be moving servers and registrars to better manage my network, and redirects.
The tables at the bottom, recent, popular, and popular today are somewhat useful but they could be compressed to more readily understood information, because, again, even there it's repeating itself, recent shows several different titles about Mega Man, popular, different articles for Black Ops or MW2, and popular today was empty. I bet you viewed the blog during the time in which the blog turns into a new day. During the afternoon, the blog usually "resets" views for most popular posts. And I agree, your image, your small 'problem' is a design issue. The theme designer didn't think of better ways of shortening long topic titles. What makes matters worse is that, every time I make a new category after what I have right now - broken blog!
There's very little to speak of in this area, seeing as both the forums and blogs have very few comments and/or replies. In time, in due time that readership is going to grow, and they will want to post more. I have deleted many members from my forums due to spammy signature links, and eventually, I closed off the forums. I need to renew my license and upgrade the forums, or move to xenforo.

I have closed off [user] registration to the blog itself (I mean, the inhards of the wordpress). I have done this on purpose, I said earlier, I wanted to fend off haters. If I turned it on, the quality of content would dwindle. Thank you for the feedback, I mean, the kind comments. 😀

Once again, thank you! 🙂
