You definitely got a great forum there. I may join up as I am a huge sports buff, but one piece of advice would be to transfer from Proboards to SMF. I know a few people have done it.
Yea but with Proboards you can't add Google Ads I believe, ever. So the revenue will never really be there. Plus having your own database and hosting gives you a lot more flexibility in the forum world.
They allow you to add ads now, but they still have their own ads added, I would have to pay for ad-free or I would have too many advertisements. Also, you say ProBoards to SMF? That's illegal. I don't like SMF that much anyways, but yes, it's better than ProBoards, and you could switch from SMF to phpBB or MyBB, I think. Thanks MrJohn, hope to see you there. We are not given access to the database, which is a major bummer. dballerp, I am not making any revenue.
Well, ProBoards does not allow it, maybe they did in the past, they used to have a ProBoards to phpBB, but Proboards asked phpBB to remove it. ProBoards doesn't allow it at all.
Well, they have improved a lot since then too though.
That's why people still use ProBoards.
UPDATE
I planned on having the new design up by the end of the week (Which has just ended), but I decided to wait until a less active day, so it would not disrupt very many people trying to access the forum. So, the forum will be offline sometime this Thanksgiving break.
Come on over, everyone!
We may consider expanding to not only American sports, but sports all over the world if we have enough members that do not follow American or Canadian sports, but follow sports popular elsewhere.
We have started a Christmas competition, started November POTM, and we have updated for the holiday season. Come check us out today! Many staff changes as well.
