Creating a Website in a Niche your not Crazy About

Would you do it just for the money? I guess I would in some instances. Also, on top of not being crazy about it, you might not know much about it. But that can be cured by study or just hiring some other writer.

Hm, I guess like you said it would depend on the niche, and also what the potential gains are. However, I don't think I'd be able to put my all behind it because I just wouldn't be able to bring myself to invest so much time, energy, etc. Doing things solely for money has never really worked out well for me. It's just not a good enough motivator.

That's a tricky one, because if I setup a website, I'll usually write a lot of custom code, themes, etc. If I don't have the passion for it, then the gains simply wouldn't cover the costs, in the slightest.

Also, there is the cost of lost time and opportunities, instead of doing something likely unprofitable and which I hate or am indifferent about, I could be doing something I'm actually interested in.
