Crime Legal for 24 Hours

This has to be the dumbest concept I've ever heard and the movie was crap too. So, let's say you commit a crime in those twenty-four hours when tomorrow comes you'll go to jail. Cause you committed a crime -- justice prevails. 🙂
Not if you rob a bank and move to a country where you cannot be located or even extradited from.

Even hypothetically, I would not commit crimes as that would hurt others and that's something I try not to do. However, I would take my family and move to the countryside for a few days, until the mayhem had passed. No reason to stick around while the 'villagers' run rampant.

I would rob a bank of course. Take loads and loads of money. Who doesn't like to be rich? The money would be worthwhile and last for a long time. (uhm, maybe. 😛)

If crime was made legal for 24 hours would you go out and commit any crimes? If so, what do you think you'll do?

I would protect my family. I do agree with everyone else though. The concept of no law and order for 24hrs is asinine. There are plenty of places around the world right now that have no law and order. And trust me, you DONT want to be there.

A lot of things that I would not like to mention on here but the 1st on the list would be to rob a bank and make sure that I am ok for the rest of my life

As far as the world in the movie goes, all money was removed from the banks and placed elsewhere before the purge so robbing banks would be pointless. All politicians of high ranking which is likely at the federal level were exempted from the all crime is legal so you still couldn't legally harm any of them which is convenient for them since they were the ones who put the purge into practice in the first place.

The only reason it was enacted as they show in the second movie is to kill off the poor so they wouldn't have to pay for them anymore. It had nothing to do with anyone need to "purge" as that was just a ploy to get people to go along with it which over time they quit doing it in large numbers so the government added their own into the mix to keep it going. No matter how much someone"purges" during the time frame does not make them any less interested in doing it during the rest of the year so the whole premise was silly from the start in my opinion.
