@Michael Valentine: That's why we have courts of law. We don't take people outside and stone them to death with no evidence like Muslim countries do to women. If there is no strong evidence, then there will be no punishment to whomever committed the crime.

I think it will be better just to leave them on a dessert island or Antarctica and survive for themselves and away from society, so they can't harm anyone else since what if they break out of prison they can harm people again before they die.

If that story you wrote above is true (I highly doubt it is) you should have gone to jail and you should be rotting in a cell right now.
You're not Jack Bauer. You don't have the right to beat confessions out of people.
Furthermore, death penalty at all is wrong and should not be here in the first place. The financial argument has been proven moot over and over, so don't even try that one. It costs more to put down these people than it does to just incarcerate them.
And for rape, especially absolutely not. My cousin was raped and no matter how much it upset her, I will never support government sanctioned murder.
It's really essentially the same as CIA assassinations on domestic soil.

That is wrong, the only reason it costs so much is that the sum of money to put someone down includes investigation, trial, appeals, and incarceration costs. If you took out all those extras it would be the cheaper option. It costs $30,000 a year for an inmate to be in a minimal security prison.

Also, if it helps anything, it's been proven that rapists/pedophiles are the ones in prison who are treated the most awfully and get the living shit kicked out of them every day. Just do a little research.

I feel that the death penalty for rape is a bit extreme if it was a single incident and not multiple. However, I would be all for some removal of certain body parts (use your imagination) so it does not happen in the future.

Death penalty is wrong in almost all, if not all cases. Have the bitch rot in prison. The other inmates won't be so nice when they find out they guy's a rapist. Most likely, he'll get knocked up a few times.

I don't know what people are thinking when they start saying we should hand out the death penalty. Yes rape is bad and yes they should go to jail for a long time, but we as people should not have the right to say who lives and who die's; that's gods job.
