Did I leave the stove on?

When you're away from home, do you ever get paranoid about the stove being on?

No but I do sometimes panic on if I forgot to lock the front door or close the garage door when I would leave my parent's house.

My husband and I have these rituals we go through when we leave a room or the house and the stove is one of those things we double check. For our garage door, when we're both leaving in the same vehicle, one of us announces, "Garage doors are down!" and the other says "Check!" Before we started doing that, we'd circle back home to make sure the doors were all down. It got annoying.

I can't say I have ever been paranoid about the stove being on if I am honest when I have been out and away from home.

I have though been paranoid that I may have left windows open or not locked either the front or back door when I left though which often bugs me until I get home and find out I never left any door unlocked.
