When a site puts up new graphics, does it make you feel better about the place? Or does it even matter?

I feel if a site has had the same theme, graphics, and even layout for a while, a change of theme or graphics can give it a whole new feel and a whole new breath of fresh air which can leave users of the site feeling better about using the site. I know in some cases people will change their graphics or themes for things like Easter, Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving, and such which can help to keep the site looking fresh and different. It's not something I would say is a requirement, to be honest but for me, I do like to see a change.

As long as the impressions are far better than before and catch my eye then I'm happy. Once that's ticked off than most of the time you stick with the same theme and logo for years. I had my logo changed 4 to 5 times before I'm happy with it and suck with it 🙂

Since I'm not technically inclined, I don't focus on the graphics or themes. I do a Holiday themed logo that @meetdilip graciously provides for me. Other than that, I do offer other themes that others can choose from.

The quality of the graphics on a website can certainly impact the user experience and overall perception of the site. Here are a few ways in which good graphics can improve a website:

  1. Aesthetics: Good graphics can make a website look more visually appealing and professional, which can create a positive impression on visitors and make them more likely to stay on the site.

  2. User experience: Good graphics can also enhance the user experience by making a website easier to navigate and use. For example, clear and visually appealing graphics can help users find the information they need more quickly and efficiently.

  3. Branding: Good graphics can help to strengthen a brand's identity and messaging, as they can be used to convey key brand elements, such as colors, fonts, and imagery.

  4. Engagement: Good graphics can also help to engage and retain users by making a website more interactive and visually appealing. For example, using graphics and multimedia elements like videos and animations can help to keep users interested and engaged.
Overall, good graphics can definitely contribute to a better user experience and perception of a website. However, it is important to balance aesthetics with functionality, as a website with high-quality graphics may not be effective if it is difficult to use or navigate.
