Do you believe Jesus is God

I was always raised to believe that Jesus was the Son of God?

I wonder why must such a topic be made. Jesus is God, thats what i think. Others may think different, so what? Having this topic here can give in real trouble.

I don't believe in either of the two.

However, there was roman records found of a mesiah called Jesus. However, if he was or wasn't the "Son of God" was never proved.

I always thought Jesus was supposed to be the son of god...

Anyhow, I don't believe it's possible to know.

I don't understand how people can live theyre life being dictated by a book. Looking back through this thread all I can see is passage after passage of the bible. It is the only thing you all can resort too, when questioned about something.

They bible was been written by christians, re-written, translated etc. And yet people still believe it is the word of god. How funny.

In the words of Billy Connolly
"Never trust anyone whos only got one book"

😉

As THT said, this is a thread debating if Jesus is God. Not a thread debating if God is real. So, if you would please, GTFO.

^ I never said it wasn't

So, if you would please, Get some manners!

I don't believe he is God. I believe he is a prophet and messenger of God. He was a prophet for the people of Israel. However, they rejected him and he was ultimately accepted by what the Romans call Barbarians.

Just throwing my two cents in but the Bible says in many different places that Jesus is was and always will be the Word. And the bible also says that: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Soooo OK, if you believe the Bible then you ought to take it's word for it unless you are an atheist or a non Christian, then you don't believe it anyway. No biggie if you are a non believer. Big biggie if you are... Okie Dokie, end of my two cents... :great:

So I guess you have already guessed that I'm not guessing on weather my Savior is God or not I guess...

He is an immortal being, but not god, considering God is his father. So Jesus Christ isn't God.

So when Jesus said: John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? or John 10:30 I and my Father are one. It means that Jesus isn't God??? Just curious.

Hello there, it is talking about how children looks like their parents, thus by seeing him, you know what the father looks like. 🙂

No my friend, it sure isn't. The bible is very specific in it's language and its translation. There are too many verses where the Lord spoke plainly about being part of the Holy Godhead or as some call it "the Trinity". God the Father, God the Son (the Word - Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Ghost. For instance:

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

When the bible speaks of itself it is the "word". A common noun for a thing. When the bible speaks of the Savior, it calls Him the "Word". A capitalized proper noun for a person. (John chapter one)

Which obviously you don't know quite well. When it states that these 3 are 1, it means that they are like minded, which can translate into them being 1 in opinion.

Really? No, don't think so. You seem to think the Bible is metaphoric in some way. That's a shame. Can I ask you some questions which may seem a bit off topic?

If it is offtopic, then you shouldn't post it. 😛

OK, then how about a semi personal question like what denomination are you a member of? Would that be OK?

It's kinda in the topic is name "Is Jesus God" it would be the same as asking, is Burgerking MacDonalds?
