I don't like to download many apps on my desktop nor our laptop. I feel it slows it down. I have my desktop be the bare minimal. I try to delete apps that I wouldn't use. It irks me though when it won't let you delete i.e. Microsoft Edge, Microphone, etc. We won't use those & to me, it just clutters everything up.
Do you like to download many of them? How many is too many to you? Do you delete ones you don’t use anymore to remove some of the clutter?

Only things that I use 🙂 I remove the apps and something that I have never used in years even though I have a lot of space. End of the day the apps do not run anyway when you open your phone or windows.

google extensions can take and eat a lot also and keep them low or whatnot.

As far as my phone goes, I have hundreds and hundreds of apps. I bought a phone with a ton of storage space (256gb I think?) for it.

As far as my computer goes, I used to have lots of programs installed, but I have to do a cleanse every so often. It really impacts the speed of everything else.

I hate having a lot of apps on my device. I just get the ones that will be useful to me and discard the rest of them.

No. I hate that everything has an app nowadays you have to download though... Always have to download the app for a deal for McDonald's and other fast food places.

I had to clean 9GB data from my OS drive that was not using nothing but space lol

The first thing I do when I get new computer tech is to remove everything I know I'll never use and then I'll only install apps and software that I consider essential.

I tend to spend a lot when I buy hardware so I prefer it to last until the hardware gives out rather than have it die to software bloat.

I don't download anything on my laptop. I very rarely download anything onto my phone. I do go through my phone and I delete stuff off my phone that I know I don't need or use.

I normally keep and have what i use if i dont need it or no longer will ever need to use the app again i will remove it until a later date if i need to use it.
my regular apps or ones i use often they stay.

i normally check if i have not used the app in 6 months to a year it gets removed, somtimes less if i no longer feel i need a certain app anymore

Before I begin, I wanna make this clear: This is NOT a hate post, but I'm just gonna address both phone users, and computer users.

Anyone who installs too many apps (or "programs") is an idiot. Yes, I said idiot. Because if you install too many apps (or "programs") can lead to exploits. You can't possibly know what each install does, or where the app or program comes, and/or came from.

Examples:
1.) TikTok is a CH app. Known to extract info from you, and is said to be an exploit waiting to be released TO YOU. Some reports are saying they'll eventually blackmail you WITH TikTok.
2.) RGB Patriot:

3.) Kaspersky is a Russian anti-Virus program that currently deploys malware without you noticing. If you hear your computer whirring louder than usual, this is why.

Those are just examples. Besides that, though... when you load your computer, the computer loads ALL apps at the same time and hurts your computer. Task Manager tells you what apps or programs are running, you need to look there, and figure out which apps YOU DON'T use, but is running in the background.

(I know you kinda said this, Cam, but this is more a general statement. F.Y.I.)

This sort-of applies to phones, but that depends on the make, model, and OS of your phone. If you are on Android, make sure your apps are downloaded FROM Google Play. Because Google, similar to Microsoft with their licensed keys, they check your download to make sure there's no virus inside. And even if you downloaded it.. there's an internal scanner on your phone.

All I'm saying mind what you install.
Only install apps or programs from brands YOU trust.

A bloated system will die faster than the person with less apps or programs. You also need to realize the wattage or battery use of your device.

Most of the apps on my phone are games that I never play anymore. I should go delete some, there’s folders and folders of them!

Yes, a lot. I like experimenting with apps. But I do a lot of background checks too.

Same here, only I do play them though. Not on my phone but my tablet as I use the tablet for forums and gaming
