When I worked, we got 30 minutes for lunch and we had to take it (by law). Some states have a specified requirement for time of breaks and lunches and if employers are caught not letting their employees have those then there are big problems that could occur (fines, etc). My boss was always on us to not work through lunch.
When in the office, at the moment I get 2 minutes to stretch my legs if I'm lucky. I would complain, but I am the person the complaints come to 🤣
Hopefully as we get back into the spring/summer, I will get outside a bit more - which is always an excuse to leave the laptop behind and not do work during lunch!
When working from home I probably spend an hour or two for lunch and try and take my dog for a walk if I can.
Whenever I have worked I have always had an hour for a lunch break which I felt was good as it meant I had more time to be able to grab food and relax whilst eating it without the worry of needing to be back at work soon and not wanting to be late.
I don’t typically take a lunch break. Usually I just try to rush around and get as much done as possible. The more I get done, the earlier I’m comfortable leaving.
