One of my biggest incentives for being on a forum is to be on the top forum poster's list. Usually, I don't start out wanting this goal, but over time my post count builds and once I hit the top ten list of forum posters on site, it just seems necessary to be the top poster, or at least one of the top three.

And, maybe this is a big incentive for other forum members, being on the top forum posters list for a forum. Do you keep such a list for your forum to showcase the best, most active forum members of your community?

On my forum there's a top posters list at the bottom of the page and I monitor it closely.

There's a way to sort by most posts (or least) on my forum, so yes, I guess we do keep a list of the top posters.

I don't have it displayed on the frontend. Just on the admin side.

No, but perhaps I should. Could foster community participation and a higher amount of posting by members.

there is a list on my forum. I think it's pretty neat. Gives members something to work towards. =3

We do keep such lists, but most of our members don't care about post count. Some people really only post when they have something to say, and that's what makes them stand out from the majority.

There are some people that can post a ton and usually stand out, and then there are others can post very little without any thought put into them. It's all done in a case-by-case manner.
