I have an ISA savings account which I add to regularly. Although I am financially secure at the moment you can never tell what's round the corner. Who would have thought just over a year ago that a pandemic would hit us and many people would lose their jobs. Always expect the unexpected.

Personally, I keep money in order to invest in real estate in the not too distant future. I'm not so worried about retirement, since I work in a government entity and therefore I have my pension insured.

Real estate investments are usually profitable. So it is a good decision.

I used to save money and pay into a private pension until interest rates in the UK dropped to 0.01% and I lost most of my pension due to a combination of world events i.e. Covid and bad management.

I drew out my pension pot a couple of years ago and starting playing around with stocks and shares which is totally at odds with my nature because I've never gambled in my life but watching the stock market everyday has become an addiction.

I've been very lucky, at least that's what everyone keeps telling me, Nvidia being particularly good to me last year. I'm told I should quit while I'm ahead and stick it in a UK savings account at 1.9% but when a share returns over 250% in 9 months...

We are doing a home renovation now and we want to buy new furniture. The items we chose are pretty expensive, so we save money for this purchase.

Sometimes choosing good, quality items is the best way to go because they will last you many more years than choose inexpensive furniture items. As long as you aren't buying something that is trendy and will look very dated in 5 years then you've made the right decision.

I was saving for my wedding. Now I'm working towards saving towards buying a new house and maybe eventually a new car. Savings wise is rough right now because still been making purchases as newly weds.... but it's all going to work out lol.

The bills to pay are not joking around at all. They don't even care if you're making enough money to take care of them but they will keep on pilling up. Inflation even makes it difficult too to have enough money to sort out everything.
