Do you talk about your members behind their back?

I don't see anything unethical about making fun of members who are trolling. If someone makes an utter fool of themselves in real life, are you going to remain silent about it when they aren't around? No. If someone acts like an idiot they deserve the mockery they get.

I forum for fun. I've put far too much money into them to act ''politically correct'' all the time. I do behave professionally in front of the members, but seriously, if you expect me not to joke around when someone acts like a total jackass in the staff boards, go to hell.
Thank you for having the courage to say that. I agree.

Go to hell? lol..

Anyways I agree with it being alright but I dont really do it very much.

Funny part is,if I would use the words "Go to Hell....."it would only feed the trolls, since it seems I have a attitude problem according to the trolls..not that it bothers me that much.

On our forum? In the staff area when we need to discuss generally one of two things: a problem member that needs to have something worked out regarding handling the problems they're creating, or the discussion of whom to hire for staff. We never just up and promote. We mention whom we think would be good to add and then see what othes have to say, including, yes, their problem areas, usually things like "Maybe not mature enough yet, but will probably be ready in another 6 months or so" or "She tends to be a little strict, but I think this can be overcome pretty easily and I still recommend."

The really ranty stuff we don't do on the forum. Once in a while if someone's really driving me batty I'll mention it to one of my best friends on AIM or something though. so yeah...once in a while I'm guilty XD but trust me you got to be a real ass in order for me to say anything like that to anyone. I'm pretty forgiving unless I can see that someone is deliberately and repeatedly trying to game the system, and take advantage of loopholes or other people. Like we all had a good rant over what a certain hacker did to our site--twice. Last {third} time he tried it we got him within 10 minutes then had our chuckles over our little triumph in AIM. XD More recently my asst. admin brought it to my attention on AIM that a member was creating multiple accounts to abuse the referral programme. We discussed what to do about it there, that involved talking about him, but he was just a kid, even when he got a little nasty after being caught out and disciplined for it I couldn't really hate him. Just kind of felt sorry for him.

Usually though if I'm ranting it's about stuff outside my site. I mean, if my site's members really gave me that much trouble I wouldn't enjoy it very much.
