Do you think shorter topics earn more cash on forums?

Yes since if an topic is too long. I usually just read half of the topic and not see the ads at the bottom, so I'm less likely to click on the bottom ads.

But, if the topic is too short. I just click the back button and go to another page.

I think topics which are between 200-800 words with a few good replies can earn more cash.

However, shorter topics might get lower rankings on Search engines because Google and Yahoo spyders can't figure what it is about.
 
That's hardly a professional opinion. If you have an audience which can't be bothered to read your topic because its too long, then you've attracted the wrong audience.

Shorter topics may be easier to reply to as it can be lesser confusing. Longer topics may be easier to reply to as there is more conversation.

Shorter topics don't affect rankings. Its a combined calculation.

How long your topic is has no affect on how you make money. It may be a factor in if your members see the ads, but it doesn't dictate how much you earn.
