Do you think there are enough promotion forums?

With forums being pretty popular all over the internet now, many of the niche sites have already been done over and over and it can seem like certain niches are over done at this point. Gaming and General Chat/Off Topic are ones that many have said are overdone to an extent.

What are your thoughts on promotion forums? Do you feel there are enough around or if possible, would you like to see more? Do you think there can be too many promotion forums?

When I came across ForumPromotion, I saw a few other forums I was going to try out but they weren't that active. I've also seen a few come & go. It's hard to have a forum in today's age but I'd love to see more for promotion forums to help owners out.

I have seen so many new promotions forums come and go. It is not easy to make one popular. Need a lot of commitment and luck.

They aren’t really popular anymore (as compared to a few years ago).

As for promotion forums, I’m only on a handful of them. We need more.

I thought there would be a lot, but as a matter of fact, there isn't a great deal and you never can be too many anyway. Like anything else with any subject and categories I've seen sites open and closed after a while. Promotion forums can be hard to get going as they are designed to help others but first it needs help to get off the ground, and I see so many openings but never really got off the floor.

FP has been around for a very long time and has taken years to get to where it is today and that is what makes FP today, its members and the people that run the show 😉 Plus people that are new or just wanted to get their forum off the ground would go to promotion sites that are really big.

There's not enough at all. It would help if there were more. So I say the more the merrier!

I think there are enough promotion forums. However, the major problem with using these forums is you need to be very active to get something in return.

Not if they offer cash options for their services like my new project does!

I personally don't think that there is enough forums for enough promotional sites.
Back in the day foruming was way more popular so it could sustain more advertising sites. Nowadays it seems like a lot of people are all on the same sites which does make it harder to create unique threads and replies.

Of course i haven't seen the whole of the foruming world. But it seems like a lot of the same wherever i go.

I think there are plenty of places to promote forums. The more sites we have now just sees a regurgitation of the same members, over and over.

I agree, which is why I've been researching some new blood to put into the mix on my new project 🙂 Give me time, I'll see what I can come up with and hopefully snag a few new ones to join us.

There are a ton already, and think if you're planning to start one it maybe rough at first but if you keep pushing you may do ok.

I think it's a saturated niche to try and target, with one or two big names (FP being one of them) and then lots of smaller sites that tend to float around the few thousand user mark but never really gain any real traction.

I do think with real world currency and high quality services, new startups could have some reasonable success, though

That's what my new project is focusing on, and our vision isn't just to cater to forums. We're going to offer real cash purchases for services along with the system credits that can be earned with the DBtech credit add on that most sites are using. I have a few things up my sleeve that I haven't shared yet and they'll slowly be rolled out as the site progresses. Doing it slowly instead of all at once will keep members returning to see what we'll be offering next and if they can get a chance to "win" it first.

Excited to see how that progresses, @Katrina 🙂

I don't think we have enough promotional forums. Most that do pop up here and there barely last unfortunately, I do look forward to your new community @Katrina and seeing the features you're talking about come to fruition in the future. 😀

Agreed. So many of those sites tend to shut down randomly too.

Yes, a lot of forums have a cash payment option to buy services. However, I do not see a lot of people willing to pay real money to buy services. I am saying this based on my experience as a staff on multiple forums.
