Do you use paid promotion on Facebook or promote in a more organic way?

I recently worked on a Facebook page with a friend, and I noticed Facebook gives you the option to pay to promote your content to more subscribers. It bases the amount that you pay based on the number of potential customers it thinks you can attract. It also uses the categories that you put on the page, so that people can find your page amidst other pages. Do you think it's worth it? Would bigger or smaller businesses benefit or both?

I have used Facebook paid advertising services and gained some traffic for the time. I would say it is helpful though if you want to increase your page views.

They will get the benefit if their content is good. I used to use fb to promote my product but I did not find a way to create a fan page with a lot of traffic quickly.

Yeah definitely it's worth it! I've used it a lot in the past and have a couple Facebook ads running now. The good thing about using Facebook ads is that it lets you really drill down through the targeting options so that you can target those people that are most likely to be interested in your product/service by setting the demographics and interests of them. You would and should ideally know these first of all and that's just part of doing your homework/research. But when you get it right, it can be quite rewarding. That is, if you are promoting/advertising something that has a good ROI for you. It's all about the ROI. What that basically means is for every amount you spend on Facebook ads, you should earn that back through sales or whatever in what you're advertising. Get that right and then it's just a case of rinse and repeat over and over again and to infinity! 🙂

If you have budget, I would suggest you to promo your page via FB ads in order to get more customers and traffic. Otherwise you can use free ways to promo your page. That's worth to use.

I used paid advertising on Facebook for increasing views, gain traffic and quick leads for my website. It mostly depends on quality of content and how engaging it is for your viewers. But mostly i prefer to promote organically on facebook.

This depends a lot on your research beforehand. Think about it this way, if you ain't selling anything it's mostly useless, you don't see advertisements for meme pages do you?
For this to work you must have quality content and something to offer to people so they stay. I did this for a camp, it worked nice, but due to some personal issues I couldn't continue the project, so it failed.

It really depends on what sort of things you want from it. I spend more money advertising on Google and have gotten maybe like 20+ members in a period of a month
