Does this song seem like the 80's to you?

So a few months ago The Weekend released from his album Starboy everyone in the comment section and even on the radio says it sounds like Micheal Jackson and has a 80's theme too it. I would say yes to both but I want your thoughts?

I like it and I remember when it was released in 2016. It does sounds from the 80s also if it was an Michel Jackson song. However there is an beat or tune that wasn't used back in the 80s
 
The 90s, minus the beard thing, seems to be making a comeback. Not sure about the 80s, though.
 
I love the 9-s and 80s, wish they did come back

I thought guys don't have beard worldwide I was shocked lol I was wondering you guys meant and how it was connected to this thread.
