Forum sites experience technical issues here and there. And sometimes, it can be beyond the admin to solve. I see so many forums have dedicated technicians to help solve those technical issues. Do you have a technician as part of your staff team?
Regards a person, no, I end up troubleshooting it myself. When you are the owner you should know most things in the backend. With IPB if anything goes wrong you paid them to get the support 🙂 and so if I have any problems with the forum software then I contact them and they will log in to my site and take a look using there own built-in account.
My forum is on Proboards so many of us don't need to know a lot of the tech stuff. I do have some friends I've made online who I could go to for help if need be 🙂
Yes, a website should have a developer or technician to ensure that the website is functioning properly, maintained and updated regularly, and secured against potential cyber threats. The developer or technician can also optimize the website's performance and ensure compatibility across different devices and browsers. Overall, having a developer or technician can improve the user experience and increase the website's efficiency.
I don't really need to have a technical person to resolve issues on free software like Jcink since there is no backend involvement. Though, I can do my own frontend work.
I do not have any technicians on my website, I cannot afford to hire a technician. When I encounter problems, I seek help on youtube or online communities.
