Does your forum or website have a Youtube channel?

Youtube is a huge video sharing community where you can build a really nice following of fans. And, if played right, this community will follow you from Youtube onto your site (whether blog or forum) and interact there. You can easily start a Youtube channel and share videos related to your own site (such as produced by forum admin/owner) or other niche videos on subjects similar to what you are posting on blog, along with a link back to a related page on your site.

Are you using the Youtube channel option for your blog or forum? And, is it helping your traffic?

i do and it helps bring in quiet alot of members if you update the channel with new videos regularly.

Yeah it does. Not sure how many visitors/members it brings, probably quite a lot given all the video views and comments I get.

I debated about doing this once, and on an older site I had a former admin was kind enough to make videos for us on his own Youtube channel to help advertise the forum. Can't remember if we got too many results out of it though.

I personally don't see youtube videos helping out your forum. When People go to youtube they just want to watch videos and laugh and such. I don't think they go their looking for advertisements for forums and such. They just want to watch for entertainment.

Oh but posting advertising videos is not all you can do. If you consistently deliver good entertaining videos on the subject your forum niche is, they might get curious enough to search your link.

It is heavy work on its own, but I think it can work.
