I have mostly some traffic, and okay earnings per click on Adsense to cover hosting, and domain fees. Plus, a little extra spending money for the month.

But, I notice when I read threads on the Adsense and Webmaster forums there are some members who have 10 times more impressions then me, and way more clicks, but make only a few cents to dollars.

A newsletter also claim selling digital products like Software, Ebooks, online courses, and commissions from affiliate marketing is a better long term goal compared to hoping for tons of traffic and a 1% CTR or selling ad space which may not be enough to cover hosting on a huge site.

Are you ever afraid of having too much traffic, but low earnings to afford the cost of a Virtual Private Server or Dedicated Server for your high traffic site?

I think it is good to diversify and start out with PTC advertising and also try affiliate marketing. Possibly, being a hosting reseller when you got the traffic, passion and experience to run a hosting reseller business.

I'm pretty happy with my adsense, and getting close to 0.50c to the click.

I don't get many clicks though, due to relatively low traffic of 60-120 unique hits a day, but I'm getting there.

I am still struggling to get higher traffic I know it takes time and I am patient enough. And if you have high traffic but low CTR then there is another way to monetize ie CPM ads along with CPC ads.

i get around 800 impressions a day , but only about 3-4 clicks lol making me 1-2$ a day =(

TBH, I earn much more money through real people advertising than I do adsense.

This is about the same for me, but I get 700 impressions and 2-5 clicks, but only get 1-4$ a day on Adsense. Click prices seems to be around 0.50-0.75 per click a day.

This is one of the reasons I'm trying to improve my affiliate marketing skills, and make cash via commissions from sales generated from Affiliate products since I at least get 4% of the price tag of the item for help selling an item for Amazon.com via my Amazon Affiliate links.

I don't use adsense but have had 400k hits in 3 months, have direct affiliate links.

What I made off of Adsense in a specific time frame would not help cover costs at all. The clicks just don't come through, one click per every 12,000 impressions.
