True, you get hits but you won't get any members. Most people just set it and forget it.

Putting that aside.... if you have Google Analytical installed, Google will trace back the referring site, see what your doing and reduce your page rank.

True, but most people on this site are looking for a free way to promote their site. Chances are, they are not going for the pro package.

That said, it could be useful to make a note on the OP about the Pro accounts.

Your heart was in the right place, imo, but your advice is probably hurting many.

Valid point. However on my old forum when I didn't know about what not to do, seo wise. I used many traffic exchanges, backlink builders and I had Page Rank 5 and good SEO rankings. Anyway I don't wish to start an argument so lets just say their's pro's and con's to it 🙂
