FFS my sites been hacked

Firstly I feel for the OP as there is nothing worse then getting "hacked". Someone should have advised you that Tayne is a known Script Kiddie, he puts code into functions.php that allowes him to obtain passwords etc. so any site he is runs is at risk, what you also need to do besides what other posters have said, is replace the functions.php file with a clean one downloaded from phpBB.com as that is the file he edits.

And a reminder to everyone do not use any site with him involved as you are at risk.

You want a history of Tayne, you get one:
In 2009-2010 he assisted Oliver with the spamming and hacking of ForuMansion until it was so much pressure Rok the owner had to sell it on. Then over the years Tayne,Oliver and EvanP were hacking anything including: Advertisehotspot,FP(only one members account), The Hazey(again only one members account) etc. So if he's back then well take security up a notch.

I figured I put down my viewpoint on a few questions that got thrown around in this topic.

1. The whole police thing: calling them is rather pointless since you can't prove who actually did it. You can at best only prove what computer was used but they can't prove which person actually carried out the attack on your board. I doubt they went in without a proxy as most know to cover their trail with a proxy when doing anything like that.

2. The reason people like that attack forums and websites is because they find it amusing watching your overreaction to it or simply to give you the internet version of the middle finger. Some people really go overboard with how they react to it and that just fuels the fire that set them off on you in the first place. The only thing you need to do is see what damage was done, how they did it then take the proper action to resolve the issue then move on. If you leave your attackers with the image that you are not affected by it then you won and they will walk away with disappointment since they wasted their time since no joy came out of what they did. They didn't get back at you because once again you didn't show that it bothered you.

Besides if mental illness is defined as laughing at something that you didn't find funny then a lot of people would be deemed mentally ill simply because they laughed during a comedy movie that you didn't find funny. Does that sound like mentally ill to you?

If he was using a proxy,which would be silly if he did not reporting the ip would be useless.

Sorry to quote myself, but what exactly happened to him? I just remember seeing he was banned, as he had the "Banned Member" rank or however they word that here, and I must've missed out on some excitement. Would someone fill me in? Or if you don't feel like talking about it in public (highly understandable) I'll gladly accept a PM with the explanation. I have it back so that members as well as staff can PM me again.
