I started blogging when I needed an online notepad for some of the things I tackled as a linux administrator. From there I kept doing it as a hobby, however it gets boring from time to time when I feel very sluggish.
I didn't even remember when I first started blogging, haha. I think I was still on senior high, which is around 5-6 years ago? At first it felt strange, I was like transferring my personal diary into blogging, but it was fun. I didn't post lengthy ones at the beginning, but as I got more used to writing and knew how to play around the software (my first blog was on WordPress) I wrote more.
I don't even remember my first blog but I think it was a personal what's happening in my life sort of thing. I think it took me a while to be able to write 500 words for nothing at the time and it felt like I was back in school. But I did adapt and now it supplies some income here and there.
I first started blogging as I was 14 I think. My family had AOL as our internet provider and I had my own account there where you could not only get an email adress but also start your own blog. This was my first blogging experience and it was fun.
There are many ways to blog, without writing articles. You could simply provide personal commentary on any issue related to your own niche. Use your own voice when writing as if you are speaking to the reader. That will work better than article style most times.
I tried blogging, wrote some articles that I thought were great and it felt good to be able to get things off my chest and let people read what I was going through or having trouble doing. However, its a hard job to keep new and fresh unique content going up on a daily basis.
