Whether it is a website, forum, or blog you run I just have one question?

Give us just one piece of advice here (and make sure your not repeating advice from other members in this thread), that helped your site/forum/blog become successful.

Thanks for the advice,
Andy...

I can't say forumansion has really beaten the hell out of Forum Promotion. Not yet at least.

Why? You haven't succeeded due to beating the living hell out of competition, say FP. You've used FP as a resource, so my advice would be to work with your competition because those are the people who you are trying to target.

I am working on it. I am still not getting enough traffic. But I have good contents. let's see how it unfolds in future.

Never give up.

My forum has died so many times over the past 7 years but I have revamped it, brought it new members, Some of my members have been there since day 1.

I have stuck with my forum and to me that is what makes a successful forum owner.

One thing I learned is, you can't rely on how someone else made their success as you can always use that + build on top of it for extra results.

If I may give you some decent advice it'd be to provide your users with something they can't get elsewhere and provide unique content for your members 😉

Yes. What I did to get Admin Spot activity was to promote it on the big forums, get packages on all forums, et ads in places, make friends and ask them if they want to join, get a good staff team, and people will flow in. 🙂

You have to fail to succeed. That, and what Mr. Green said is right. You have to do your homework to be successful in anything.

Yes, yet again, you must continue advertising. Advertise, advertise and advertise. Once you have advertised finish, advertise again!

In the case of the blog I am Managing, continually make posts so that you have fresh content. That will make it easier for those who read the topics, to actually stay and possibly recommend your place to others.

I totally agree with that.

My forum was completely dead for a couple months, I didn't give up. Now, I have an active forum. 😎

Personally, I would say "Stay Optimistic" because then you will be less likely to give up. But also, that would mean that you are less likely to improve it. You will think that it is good enough. So...Just keep positive, and don't give up. Use other forums in your category as a resource.

1. Continue..always
2. Stay active
3. Give something others don't have
