Forum Downtime because of host?

How often does your forum go down because the host has issues?

none, My host never went down even when they had to change the server or hardware over they never g down.

It's happened a couple of times. The host we were with was very good at notifying us in advance so we could make proper preparation for the event though

Thankfully this hasn’t happen to me with my current host. I did have issues once with a old community where for some reason my dns settings never updated properly, and I even waited a few days for my host to get back to me to figure out what the problem was and since I never got a response back I switched hosts.

It's not too often the host we use goes down but since yesterday there has been a major outage leaving all my sites down since yesterday. They are keeping in contact with us about the issue and giving us regular updates but it is super frustrating.

This is the first time I have known them to have a big outage like this though.

It's definitely frustrating when it happens. I'm glad they're keeping you in touch. I bet they're really embarrassed by it all!
