Hey everyone,

As you probably are already aware of, Ilya was creating a newsletter that would be sent out at monthly intervals, but due to unforeseen reasons, he has no longer got the available time to dedicate to the project. I have taken the lead of the newsletter and I am pleased to announce it will be coming to an Inbox near you.

There is one small change, however. The newsletter will be in HTML format and will be sent to email addresses, as opposed to being sent via PMs here on Forum Promotion. This will ensure the same standard of quality throughout and will make editing different editions much, much easier.

The first edition (Edition #1) will be sent out tomorrow, that is Friday 9th July. This will be the first pre-release, which will be completely open to suggestions, feedback and comments you should have. We wish to have the newsletter molded to your interests, what you would like to read and what news you wish to be informed about.

In addition to this goodness and continuous supply of the best information from Forum Promotion. We also have the opportunity to take the newsletter and also use it as a platform for your continued advertising campaigns. A small list of advertisements in the sidebar for example, will provide forum owners a new way to advertise to the mass of subscribers. More possible information on this at a later date!

I’m interested, what's included?

Firstly, thanks for showing your interest, I will provide a quick run through what is included in Edition #1 (this is certainly subject to change and improve in the next edition, remember – this is just a base):
- Latest news about FP.
- List of updates on forum software & development.
- Display the current FoTM and MoTM.
- Latest FP Blog posts.
- Links to both the forum topsite and directory.
- A list of possible forum advertisements.

After reading through the newsletter, please feel free to leave feedback in the Community Matters section as to what you would like to see changed in the next release.

Great! How do I subscribe?

Fantastic! Glad to have you on board. You can simply visit the main homepage (http://forumpromotion.net) and fill in the email subscription form half way down the page. Look for the box below:

After you have submitted your email, you will receive the newsletter until you unsubscribe. Please note that if you subscribe after the newsletter has been sent out, you will receive the next edition, to get your hands on the previous one you missed, feel free to get in touch with us.

Also note: If you wish to receive this newsletter via PM or other (you simply don't wish your email to be used or you don't own an address), please get in touch with me and you will receive a link in a PM when an edition is published so you can view it in your browser.

Do you keep my email private?

Certainly, we hate spam just as much as you do. We keep your email addresses secure in a locked up table that has limited access, which is then protected by a dangerous realm featuring dragons and laying host to the most terrible witches. Okay, maybe not that much protection, but we are close to the security of Hogwarts. Your details will never be sold or passed onto third parties.

I’ve had enough, unsubscribe?

Why, oh, why? We are truly sorry to see you depart from our fountain of knowledge, but if one must go, then one must go. To unsubscribe, simply click the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter and send that email off. After that, you will not hear from us unless you re-subscribe.

Thank you for your attention,
Rich

Sorry guys, things came up...

Hopefully tomorrow some of the things would change for the better for me. So then I would be able to contribute stuff to the newsletter. 🙂

Wow, more professional on the homepage 😀 I guess I will sign up for this one then.

Awesome. I reckon an interview or discussion should be included if it hasn't already. You could probably include some offers or something to make it interactive, again if it hasn't already.

Hope to see it soon 😀

The first edition is just a starter so it will be relatively weak compared to what it will become. Thanks for the suggestions though David, we will definitely be going down that route for the next months edition 🙂
