Hey all. I have seen this done elsewhere. I was wondering how I would be able to get a default avatar to show for users who have not selected one. I see the no_avatar.gif file in my themes folder but not sure how to get it to work.

Also if I set an avatar through a user group will it override personal avatars?

Usually (in most scripts) you go to the Usergroup options in the AdminCP. Edit the usergroup you wish to make changes to and see if you can edit their avatar options etc.

Yeah I can do that but I want to make sure I don't over ride ones that already have them.

Hmm there has got to be a way to set an avatar for those who do not have one only. I know I have seen it somewhere but I can't remember 🙁

Thank you for going to the trouble for me 🙂

That's ok, ill keep searching and try and find a solution for you mate.

I just noticed when using my TEST account that on the portal the no_avatar images displays. But it doesn't for instance when posting.

Sshadow - I currently have this feature active on my forum (you signed up on). If you click the Mods Database link, look for the "Inactive and Banned User's Custom Titles & Avatars" mod. The mod download link is available there as well - feel free to ask any questions on the forum. We'd be happy to help 🙂
