Forum Promotion NEEDS YOU!!

Forum Promotion is looking to launch a brand new celebratory day across all forums on the internet, and we need YOUR HELP to make that happen! We're calling this day the Global Forum Day, a celebration of all things forums in recognition of all they give us, of all they have given us, and just what diverse needs they service. Our goal is to have as many forums as possible join in and host a special event of their own on this day in the name of Global Forum Day in connection with every other forum we can get to participate. What that event is will be disclosed as we get closer to the official Global Forum Day so keep your eyes peeled for all those details appearing soon!

Where do we come in?

That's a great question, we're glad you asked! We need a specific date for Global Forum Day! We need an exact date to make that happen, but it needs to mean something to the forum world, so we are taking suggestions just now and then will hold a vote to pick the exact date. After that we will begin spreading the word to get Global Forum Day pumping!

We are open to ideas and we want to know your thoughts! When should this Global Forum Day take place each year, and what is the significance of the date you have picked? Please let us know below by May 15 and then we'll have a poll to choose the day for Global Forum Day!

Let's work to make this Global Forum Day project one to be proud of. One that forums everywhere, whether a part of Forum Promotion or not, can stand behind and show support for all the many wonderful things that forums give us on a daily basis, and have given us for many years now. Let's enjoy forums for all that they are and shout their praises as loud as we can!

Global Forum Day: Because Forums Rule!

2nd of July. This is the date when it was announced that Forum Promotion changed ownership. A lot of hard work has been put into the site since then. Many things have improved and continue to improve. And because of that, I would love to see this date chosen for the celebratory day.

It would make sense for it to be on the day of FP opening! Given how long it has been around for now, it’s certainly a good idea that we ‘lead’ the charge towards a global recognition day.

I'm down for it being the grand opening of Forum Promotion! I was also thinking perhaps it could be the release date of phpBB, since Forum Promotion started on the software and it's one of the earliest forum software that is still around to this day. That would be December 16th though, so it would be during a very busy month already... :V

We have 2 dates suggested:

July 2 - when ownership changed to Cam
April 7 - when FP was first opened by CyberFreak

Any other dates you'd like to suggest? We'll start a poll after May 15 to get the winning date for Global Forum Day. Then we'll plan some events, get some graphics for everyone to use, post on social media, etc...

I'm down for it but I'm afraid I have to disagree with doing it on the days that FP was open or changing ownership as that should be considered as a birthday or another event based on FP, I mean having Global Day and seeing that FP is celebrity also might take away what other site owners may have got going.

I also would say that we need time to setup, Not everyone has got the information yet XD we need as many websites as we can, so we need to get the word out there.. even if we have to scream

Yeah, it's like SBM then this and then not too long after that we have Member Appreciation Week. Nothing for the other half of the year.
