Google Plus Social Network promotion, Any Success with G+?

I want to know if Google Plus is worth using to promote a forum, or a blog website. I heard G+ is usually full of tech savvy members, so it can be a good place to promote tech savvy topics like Computers, gaming, electronics, etc forums.

Have any of you guys have success in getting much traffic from Google Plus, or would it be better to just stick to Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr for promoting a forum or blog?

I haven't experimented with this before, but I am keen on knowing how well G+ can be used for promoting one's forum.

I have yet to see any way to put up a page to reflect a forum/website. I think I did sign up with my forum name during it's beta run but there wasn't much I could do with it and just left it alone.

I'm starting to have a small amount of success with Google Plus with one of my blogs at http://pctutorial.info which my Google Plus is at https://plus.google.com/116455400669050994871/posts

6 people +1 or circled/liked my G+ page, and some of them seem to read my articles on my blog from finding articles on my G+ profiles according to Google Analytics and Blogspot Analytics info.

I think you need to be very active, and social on G+ to get traffic on G+.

Upto now I don't see a good traffic from Google +1 from my blog. But recently I saw a drop of my Google +1 count. I don't know why that has happened suddenly. But I prefer SU and Reddit than G+ and FB. :roll:

I think G+ was a flop. They weren't able to take on Facebook meaning there are hardly any users there which simply means less people to advertise to.

I've looked around, but getting nothing except frustrated. Yes, I can honestly say it has helped me. Or so google analytics says.

I am not that active on it but I get a lot of traffic when I post a link there
