First Impressions - (Out of 20)

Great Banner! Fits the theme, and is very readilbe through the blood dripping effect on the text. If only you could replace the text in the middle, by adding it under the banner; and upsizing the banner and center it up top. Like this ...

Gorepit : Message Board
Supplying you with everything Horror and Gore since 01 Jan 2009!

The skin is nicely colored for the forum's theme; only thing is that it is the basis for any forum with a horror theme, usually red/black ... is oftenly used. But it does work great here, so it's not really a bother.

I would even go as far as to suggest try making a background, either with some horror/slasher movie charatcer, or just making a black image, with very little blood splatter, and add it to the background image, and it'll loop the image across the forum. Giving it a unique effect for the forum. Like i said, minimal blood splatter, cause it willl be looped.

Site Layout - (Out of 20)

Very nice layed out throught the forum, except for some minor changes i'd like to suggest. First suggestion, would to have the introductions board swapped with the Spam/Old Threads Board. Should be one of the first places new members see when just signing up, and ready to browse the forum. The Spam Board should be the last thing members see when on the forum.

You have everything a horror fan could be looking for, with great catgory sections, filled with even better board titles that represent each category to the fullest; allowing maximum discussion, no matter what the horror fan is looking for.

I would also suggest adding "creative/fanfcition" to the fan art & design board. I'm sure there's plent of original stories members would love to submit, and get feedback from the rest of the community.

Forum Statistics - (Out of 20)

Just a little over a month, and you have found the right members to help get the forum to a fast, and early start. Over 3,000 posts in just over 1 month is something to be really proud of.

I would give gorewhore alot of props, as they came along, and got so many different topics/movie titles in there ... and brought a whole new life to all the horror/movie sections.

The only thing, though, seems alot of topics are just there, without alot of post, instead of trying to get every horror movie title made into a topic, save some for other places, like just mention them in a posts. It may be too much for newer members to get around to all of those, and alot of those topics, that some may not even be interested in.

Plus, your forum is only 1 month old, and it's confusing as to why there are 90 topics in the Spam/Old Threads Board?

Staff Moderation - (Out of 20)

As of now, i only norice 1 admin, i global mod. Not sure how many more staff you have, which i believe gorewhore was the first member i noticed added to staff ... and a great addition, as they are as determined as you to keep gorepit up and running, and turn it into something great.

It may be wise to consider another team member, or two. Just watch the members, their activity, and how much they contribute ... and you'll find someone goot enough to help out, when moderation calls for it.

Spelling and Grammar - (Out of 20)

Nothing that jumps out at me, just your Board titles don't really need the term "Discussion" in each Title. Horror Gaming ... sounds just the same, cause everypone knows that's where the horror gaming discussions go.

And, your descriptions in each board just really feel repetitive, nd like they were rushed at once. Sometime, when there;s not much to do, i would go through each one, and think of something original for certain ones ... just to space out the repetiive "Talk about ...."

Final Remarks:

Your doing great so far, just keep the pace going, and never give up on advertising, or finding those unique members; no matter how active the forum gets.

It's defenitely one of the best starts a new Forum could ask for. I know you're happy with the current success, thus far. Just keep advertising, find you target audience through like forums, and horror discussions. As long as they find, or visit the site, they'll find it a very unique forum, worth checking out.

What was most liked about the website/forums:

The dedication of staff, and members. I log on a bunch, and always something new to get involved with each visit.

What was disliked most about the website/forums:

Nothing much that was negative, just some issues i mentioned, I guess, for me, it's the surplus of topics being made for almost any horror movie imagineble. And the fact that the Old Threads Board has 90 topics ... and the forum i sjust 1 month old.

How could I get you (The Reviewer) to join my website?

I'm a member, and plan on continuing to be. But i also grew up to horror/slasher films. There are horror fan forums out there ... and very popular, thta have been around for a long time. You just need to find your "hook" that convinces new members/guests that this forum is the best choice for them.
