I had cooked out and later went back to put the cover on and smelled gas in the area and it was coming from where the hose connects to the grill underneath. The grill is about 7 years old maybe? I can't remember really and it has been through a lot and it's time for a new one anyone, plus a new quick connect hose.
We have the grill connected to our propane tank underground, so we don't have to change out the tank. During a windy thunderstorm years ago, the grill decided to go for a walk, right off the deck!! It was brand new and still worked, but was really banged up. So we had to put cinderblocks to prevent it from traveling again as well as tying it down to the deck. The button for the ignition broke off last month, the grates are disintegrating, the temp gauge went out years ago and I replaced it twice, the heating tent thingies I replaced last year...I'm sick of spending money on this old thing.
Today we'll be putting together the new one. My husband has stuff in his pickup truck so we couldn't get a new one that was already assembled. I hate putting things together, but we want to grill out this weekend and the new hose should be here today or tomorrow.
