Have you ever promoted or sold an eBook? What worked for you?

I've written an eBook which is currently offered for sale here on FP, on ForumCoin, on Kindle and on Gumroad. I'd love to hear tips and suggestions on how to promote and sell an eBook.

Any ideas?

I have sold ebooks through my personal websites as well as Kindle. You can run ads on Amazon to promote your Kindle ebook. running ads improve your visibility.
