Yes, I indeed have used them, but made nothing 🙁 I have set up to go fund me for two different types of events and after months of using them I end up not getting anything and ended up selling something to get the money. I have promoted the page.

I wouldn't want to use Gofundme for my websites. I think the site is more for people who need help whenever they end up in a terrible life event, like the death of a loved one and they can't afford the funeral costs.
Well, I do not have any experience raising funds through Go Fund Me, however, someone organized a campaign to help me and she managed to raise $650. The success of the campaign depends on how popular you are with your social media followers and how genuine your campaign is.
Running a website cost money. If you are not generating revenue, you need funds to operate the site. I was suggesting that you could raise funds for your website.
I just added a fund page and that's it doesn't get you anywhere as most people won't be viewing and seeing that you really do not need it but keep on saving. 2022 is hard for many with cost of living nowdays
People are struggling with finances, however, there are also people who really like to help others, especially less fortunate ones. If you promote your campaign through social media, mainly your personal pages, you might be able to get some donations.
I have thought about using GoFundMe to help raise funds for my site, yes. I am currently working on a site at the moment that I would love to be able to raise funds for but my issue is that I hate asking for help even though it's not frowned up on to ask for help. I would love to add so much to my site at the moment but being that I do not have the funds at the moment I am limited.
GoFundme is good for personal campaigns. If you have a lot of followers on social media platforms you might be lucky with GoFundMe.

I don't think I can set up a go fund me campaign. I feel it is like begging and I am not entitled, that is why I can't beg. I prefer to raise the funds by myself anyhow.

Considering my attempts through Ko-Fi and a merch store were utter failures I haven't considered this for the site at all. And won't.
I feel the same way.
Most the sites I've owned have been funded by me or by the members where the site provided a very specific service. I have on one occasion asked for voluntary donations and was somewhat perplexed to receive enough cash to keep the site running until the end of time.
