Have you had a look at Discourse forum software yet?

It's had some updates since this thread, so figured I'd bring it back from the dead. 
Honestly though, Discourse isn't really my thing, it just doesn't look like a forum software at all, it looks like a Q&A software more than anything, and their demo doesn't do any justice with all the test posts.
I think if it was more open to people, meaning they actually had an installer rather than people having to go through the command line to install it, it would probably be more popular. However until then, I don't see it taking off anytime soon with consumers, let alone theme developers. (Which it desperately needs.)
