Hello, Webmasters!

We are all familiar with having our sites uploaded and hosted by a reliable hosting provider online. But there's another alternative, and it could be cheaper, in theory.

Have you tried hosting your website on your home computer? A spare computer or an old one will do. You simply do what other hosting providers do and emulate it on your computer.

A disadvantage could be if the power on your area is not stable, it could lead to downtime of the website.

What are your thoughts? Have you tried it?

Firstly the hardware! and in many cases that's OUT!! failed right there.

Most servers has HDD/SSD that are design to be made to run 24/7.. most home PC isn't.
Then you need good internet, doesn't cut out..
Good cooling system and max memory, like I said server hardware is different to home PC.
Yet again you can go and spend 5K on a server to put in your home
