Hello! I have been studying for my CCENT. My book is a little out dated though. It talked about hubs and how to use them instead of switches.

You know where you put your Ethernet cord from your computer to the switch before it reaches to the router? If you read on it and it says "hub" anywhere please throw it in the trash. Those things became obsolete 10 years ago. Go out and buy yourself a switch for like 35 dollars.

Hubs are bad, switches are good.
